This brand was born in the ocean.
On a morning in Long Beach, NY - my backyard, the place I've lived most of my life — I walked into the water and gave everything to Jesus Christ. I was baptized right there in the Atlantic, on the beach where I walk every day, surrounded by the sound of waves and the presence of God.
In that moment I surrendered it all. My plans. My will. My life. His will, not mine.
That's where love1614 came from.
The name comes from 1 Corinthians 16:14 — "Let all that you do be done in love."
Five words. One instruction. A complete way of life.
I'm Michael. I'm 51 years old, a non-denominational follower of Jesus, and I live on the boardwalk here in Long Beach. I attend Centerpoint Church , I have over 50 guitars, a deep love for worship music, and an even deeper love for people.
I built love1614 because I already lived it.
Long before this was a brand, I was just a guy wearing faith-based shirts around town. And something kept happening. Strangers would stop me. Ask about what my shirt said. Want to know what it meant. Those conversations led to friendships. Those friendships led people to church. People came to Jesus because of a t-shirt.
I didn't plan that. God did.
So I stopped treating it like a coincidence and started treating it like a calling.
love1614 is not a clothing company with a Christian feel bolted on. It's a mission with a business model. Every design we create is built around one question: Would a stranger stop and ask about this?
